RETURN / SHIPPING POLICIES
RETURN AUTHORIZATION # REQUIRED
If you need to return or exchange an item it is VERY IMPORTANT that you EMAIL US FIRST to obtain a Return Authorization # and for the address to return the item(s) to. We use several different suppliers, so there are different addresses that your product may be returned to. IF you do not contact us first and you ship it directly to our corporate offices in Virginia, we will have to charge you a shipping fee for us to then ship it out to the supplier(s) you should have returned it to. The shipping fee is for the shipping AND handling that our supplier(s) charge us to ship your order(s). You have 7 days from the date you received the order in which to request an RMA #. Any request received after the 7 day time limit will be at our discretion as to whether we will accept the item(s) for an exchange. This depends on the reason for the exchange, if our supplier still has the product you wish to exchange, etc. There will absolutely not be any credit card refunds or check refunds after 7 days from the date that you received the order. Once you receive an RMA# or authorization to return an item(s), you need to ship it back to us within 5 days from the time you are issued the RMA# via email.
FOLLOW THESE 3 STEPS TO MAKE A RETURN:
Store Credit Policy as of January 1, 2006. If you want to return anything you have purchased here at Open Road Leather & Accessories, we will give you a Store Credit for 100% of your purchase price minus shipping and handling. If you need a size exchange only, then the Store Credit policy does NOT apply. But if you purchased something as a gift or if the item you purchased does not fit the way you thought it would, and you wish to exchange it for a different item or size, we will give you a Store Credit of 100% minus shipping and handling charges.
DEFINITION of STORE CREDIT:
A credit towards your future purchases here at Open Road Leather & Accessories. No credit card refunds are available with this policy. At Open Road Leather & Accessories, your satisfaction is guaranteed! If we send you the wrong size or the wrong product or if our supplier ships you a defective product, we will pay for the product to be shipped back to us, but notice to us must be within 7 days of the date you received the order.
7 DAY RETURN POLICY:
You have 7 DAYS from the date you received the order to request an RMA#. We feel this is plenty of time to know if you like the product or if it fits. If you return the product after the 7 DAYS are up, then you only have a choice of a Store Credit equal to the purchase price of product(s) minus S & H fees (after 7 Days the 100% Store Credit does NOT apply), no credit card refunds will apply in this instance. We reserve the right to make or not to make an exchange after 7 days.
If you ask for a refund, we will issue a credit to your credit card within 14 working days of receiving the product back at our warehouse. REFUNDS will be equal to the purchase price MINUS FEES: S & H / (Restocking etc.). If you are returning more than one product and if it came to you in separate packages this means that it came from different suppliers. If you return more than one item, you will be responsible for return shipping for EACH item you return and if you are returning for a credit card refund, you will be credited minus the shipping charges we paid for each item you return. The restocking fee is charged because our suppliers charge us. This fee is a maximum of $25.00. We have had to establish this policy as of January 1, 2006. Regretfully, we must pass these fees on to our customers that make returns rather than raise our prices on every product we sell. We want to keep our prices as LOW as we can for ALL of our valued customers. There is no extra fee if you are EXCHANGING for another size or if you wish to receive a Store Credit, you simply pay the shipping, but if you are returning a product for a refund, we must charge you the restocking fees for each item returned. You also have the choice of returning the item and receiving a Store Credit rather than a refund. Thank you for your understanding.
CANCELED ORDERS, EXCHANGE and RETURN of PRODUCTS:
If you cancel an order after it has been shipped out, you will be responsible for shipping charges to you and back to us plus a restocking fee. If you cancel an order BEFORE it goes out, then you will be refunded the total charge minus a $10.50 cancellation fee to cover credit card fees associated with each charge. Returned items must be returned with all original tags attached, and in the original packaging. Please be sure they are placed back in the package to avoid wrinkling or damage. We cannot accept products back without the original tags attached. We need to be able to resell the returned items and if there are no tags attached we cannot resell it as a new item. By placing an order with Open Road Leather & Accessories, you agree to our return policies. Should you need to return an item of the wrong size, please follow the steps outlined below:
1. Contact Us by e-mail or call us at 281.492.9650 to obtain a Return Authorization #, and the address to ship the item back to. The reason for this is we have several different suppliers.
2. Ship the item back to the address given on the RMA within 5 days after receiving the RMA. We recommend that you insure it and obtain a tracking number, as we cannot be responsible for the shipping agent or post office errors or losses.
3. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the tracking number of the return package.
4. You pay the shipping charge to have the product sent back to exchange the product for the correct size. You will be responsible for those shipping charges. We pay the shipping from warehouse to you on the return. As always, we appreciate your business! Should you have any questions, email us or call us!
Shipping is normally via The US Post Office International. When we ship to you via the US Post Office, we will have your package insured. We cannot make any guarantees that any of our shippers will get your package to you in the time frame specified, especially for international orders. We will do everything we can, however if an international package is lost, after we have sent it out, we cannot be held responsible for the shipment once it leaves our hands. If you do not receive your package, please email us and we will do whatever we can to track it for you and do our best to file a claim with the shipper and if we receive the insured amount of the claim, we will then be happy to re-ship out your package. If the package is not paid for by the shipper for whatever reason, Open Road Leather cannot be held responsible. We will already have paid for your product(s), paid for the shipping, etc. We cannot send your package out again if the shipper has lost, mis-delivered, or damaged it. Please contact us if you receive a damaged package and keep the damaged package as proof of damage or missing items. This will help with the claim we will need to file on your behalf.
We cannot warranty clothing items, helmets, etc. What we give our customers is what our suppliers give us -- An Initial Satisfaction Guarantee. This means that once you receive your product(s), you inspect it for any defects, size, fit, looks, style, etc. If there is a problem, you need to notify us immediately, or at least within 7 days from the date you receive your order, to request an RMA. If you do not let us know that there is a problem of some kind within that time frame, we will assume that you are happy with your order. After the 7 day period from the time you receive your order, we cannot issue any credit card refunds.
